See my post at https://www.kianiroforum.com/forum/2...alignment.html

A mechanic who worked 10 years at a local Kia dealer told me the Kias transported from the factory are ratcheted down so tight that it throws off their alignments and they need to be re-aligned by the dealers.

It doesn't have to be just rear wheel misalignment, it could be all wheels. My rear wheels were misaligned because the selling dealer broke the rear wheel alignment bolt - but both he and Kia refuse to admit it.

Attached is a snapshot my Kia Niro's misalignment reading. You can judge for yourself.

Had same issue with both front tires

Inside of both front tires visibly wore unevenly as if shocks were bad, which is what tire dealer told me. I replaced them and will see what happens, but don't expect shocks to go so soon on young car. Interested to know if these issues are related.

Sounds like BS to me! Shocks are there to damp body motion. Alignment issue more likely.

True, but bad shocks can indeed cause uneven tire wear:

Still seems unlikely on a new car, but it could be a bad part from the factory.
