Canadian living in the US with leased LX

Hey all,

Thought I would contribute here. I just leased a Niro LX with the tech package. Not a bad deal at 24500 in WA.

I too am noticing the funny revving and double clutch from stop to rev up. Any suggestions? Otherwise loving the 55mpg average. Just a tip out there. If you want any accessories - Canadian dealers are just getting them in and they are 20-50% cheaper with the current exchange. Got some roof bars and the tray for cheap from a dealer in BC.

I came from a 2003 TDI which I loved too but the diesel was done and my biodies el sources were drying up. I ordered a curt hitch and going to put my ski box on this thing. Let's see if I can keep decent mpgs with all the gear mounted on it.

Interesting. Got mine, a Touring, one day before leaving on a trip back east. I live in BC.
Rented a Honda Civic with CVT, best L per 100 Km 5.1, did not like the low seats or the whirring transmission.
Day 2 with the Niro today.

Noticed the comments about the prices in Canada. I did the same comparison.
Also 0% interest for 2 years from Kia
First new car since 1984

Will keep you posted.

I would like to buy a Niro in Canada as it is not only much less expensive, but the base model comes better equipped (heated seats and steering wheel). However, Kia Canada does not allow it's dealers to sell to US residents. I might end up buying a used Niro from Canada in the future.
