This was a HUGE issue for me when I first drove a Touring model. I loved the car except it seemed the cabin noise was too loud. Delving into the issue, I wondered if it was a function of the tire somehow. I used a sound meter app during my test drive and it showed the EX with the smaller tires was a few decibels lower than the better looking larger rims. I bought the EX, but really wish I had the premium sound that was not available on any of the smaller wheeled versions. I really wonder if it was more a function of the tread. Has anyone figured that out?

More rubber touching the road equals more noise. You bet tread plays a role, but aren't the tires the exact same model and maker?

You could have bought the better sound system, and a different set of wheels. Useful if you change to winter tires seasonally. Do they do that in Denver?

at 110 MPH the noise you're hearing is probably coming from either the screaming passenger or the police cruiser's siren ...

oh, you meant 100 km/h

never mind......
