Most street speeds are 60 km/h, how would the crash avoidance system fair at those speeds?

I think the computer would up the sensitivity perhaps and give it a farther range ? I'm not sure if that's how it works but I would hope so.

That might be more dependent on how the sensors work in collaboration with everything else going on. All of that come at a cost so naturally this low in the range we'll get something entry-level. With a flagship Kia, chances are we'll see this tech at its best.

I mean... at the same time what I'm just realizing. This isn't supposed to produce miracles. If you're going at a high rate of speed, nothings gonna be able to stop you in time like that. So anything over 60, and it's on you guaranteed. Even if it happens under that, people should expect it to be there to jump in and help anyhow

Overall it's very entry-level and at the end of the day we need to test it with soft objects just to get a sense of what to expect since just reading about it when you plan on owning one of these won't serve you that well.

Pretty much. Just need the space to set everything up lol. Need enough room to hit speeds of 60-100km/h

Even at slower speeds you can do some testing, like in a parking lot. Throw up a few cones stacked up and try hard braking into it.

The front crumpled a lot in the frontal crash, how much of that is translated into the driver foot well?

That's always a big concern of mine. The footwell area. I've seen a bunch of front end accidents where the drivers pedal swing different ways and gets all tight in there. Scary stuff man.
