Replacing the Niro steering wheel with Sorento's steering wheel

I am wondering if it's hard to replace the Niro's steering wheel with the Sorento's. So my family have both cars - 2018 Kia Niro EX w/ Advanced Tech and the 2018 Kia Sorento EX V6 w/ Advanced Tech. The one thing I love about the Sorento is the steering wheel controls ... volume and scrolls are rolling wheel instead of an up and down button. Getting through the menu, increasing/decreasing volume is so much better.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

It's probably very expensive to do it, best thing is to ask the service department

I feel like even if you are able to swap out the steering wheel, getting all the buttons to function properly is going to require a lot of rewiring, if its even possible. Personally I think its going to be too much of an investment.

It could be the exact same wiring harness, plug and play. Lot of work for a very minor enhancement that may not work because scrolling may require a different line of software.

Seems like an inherently bad idea.

I agree with you all. It is probably not worth the risk. Although I saw this tutorial on a Sorento getting its steering wheel upgraded. But this is between Sorentos
