I wasnít quite happy with the mount because it didnít extend out far enough forward from the mirror to be able to clear the sensor housing, so bought a kit that allows the dashcam to extend lower and more forward. Hereís a screenshot with the adapter in place. Because the mount is longer than the original thereís a little bit of shaking in the video, but itís not bad. Hereís a screenshot. The sensor base is no longer obscuring the top of the video.

I have a Seydi F1 dashcam that is small enough it is almost entirely hidden by the inside mirror, just a bit of the mount shows. Here I stuffed the wire up into the gap in the headliner and into the a-pillar cover w/o removing the cover. there was enough flex to push the wire into the gap by the windshield. Excess wire routed through the glove box. The 12v adapter has a USB port on the back.

Just a little update, I rerouted the wire by hiding it behind the rubber by the passenger door and under the plastic kick panel under the glovebox. I just tucked the wire into the gap at the front of the kick panel.

Much cleaner. It is not difficult to pull the rubber seal and pop the A-pillar cover so you can hide the cable under there. The only thing you have to worry about is to make sure the cable is not interfering with the rolled up airbag.
