Back-up alarm?

I was at the dealer after a test drive when one of the dealers detailer started and backed a Niro into a parking spot. The Niro was very quiet in reverse. My friends Prius is the same way. After darn near backing over one of his kids, we installed one of these. Has anyone else considered installing something like this? The camera helped but didn't give pedestrians any warning.

The Niro already emits a beep when in reverse. Maybe it isn't loud enough since you presumably did not notice it.

Thanks I didn't hear it. It was pretty noisy, next time I will listen for it.

How do you increase the volume of notifications? I presume you can, right?

Yes. I can say that there is an audible chime from outside the Niro. You can hear it from inside the car if it is quiet.

Yeah, in playing with my banging problem, I had everything turned off and windows closed to keep outside sounds to a minimum and heard teh beeps when in reverse for teh first time myself. Unaware of if its volume is at all adjustable.

I've been wondering this myself. Did you ever find the answer?
