High Beam Assist

Hi everyone, new to the fourms here. I just purchased a Niro LX with the tech package, I was told, part of the lane departure warning system is a high beam assist, where the hight beams will turn in and off with on coming traffic. I have not found a way to activate it. Can anyone give me more info about this. Thanks

Sorry, but you were misinformed the 2017 Niro does not have this feature.

Whatever kniro.net is, it does not seem to be an official site. The Prius has auto high beams, as does, optionally, the Prius V, but the Niro brochure doesn?t say anything about it.

And that site lists a ?speed limit information system? which supposedly reads speed signs. That sounds Tesla-esque and definitely not something the Niro has... at least not in this country.

No its a 2017 model. The tech package is available on the LX. It included fog lamps, leather wrapped steering wheel, lane departure warning, emergency breaking, forward collision warning, daytime running lamps and smart cruise control. The tech package was $1400. I felt it was well worth it.

Chris- I also have a 2017 Niro LX with Adv. Tech pkg. I think the issue might be that in the US, it's a LDW(lane departure warning). In Europe and maybe other places, it is a LKAS(lane keeping assist system). Ours gives you the three beeps, the other actually nudges the wheel. The LKAS sytem or Tech pkg. might also have an auto hi/low beam, but our LX's do not.
I for one am glad there's no LKAS. I live in a rural place with roads that have uneven or changed white border lines, and I'm constantly hearing the 3 beeps. It's not enoying enough to turn off, but I would if it was moving the wheel too. I think the best use is on a wider highway or interstate, where it's easier to stay within stripes. Although anymore, most highways have the built in pavement serrations at the edge that make the tire noise if you go too far over.

Chris, according to the documentation you provided: When Light switch is in AUTO, and High Beams are on, they dim automatically. I don't have experience beyond that...yet. Today is my second day with my 2018 LX.
