Disable Bluetooth audio streaming

Does anyone know how to disable Bluetooth audio streaming? I want to use Bluetooth for phone and messages but not for music. Every time I change the mode on the audio system, if it goes past Bluetooth streaming, the Bluetooth starts streaming music. Even if I change the mode, the music app continues to play on my phone, which is a nuisance and uses up the phone battery.

If the phone is an android, you can just disable the app that is doing the streaming.

Worked it out. On the phone's Bluetooth settings, when you touch the name of the connected device, you can choose phone and/or audio streaming.
