2020 Niro PHEV

I'm interested in the Niro PHEV and I was at my local dealership inquiring about the availability. They are checking into the possibility of ordering one, but it's not a sure thing. If I have to wait until the 2020 model becomes available, approx when would that be? Thanks in advance.

Hi Nirobium, first, welcome to the forum!
I do not know from where you are, but i am shure that they are some 2019 PHEV somewhere in your region. If your local dealer must order one, they could also try to get one out of the region too.

For the 2020 Niro's in North America, one thing for shure, they won't not be like the one's with the "new facelift" that was unveil in the 2019 Geneva auto show.

Hi. Thanks. I'm located in Sask. I was watching a Korean test drive video of the 2020 model that was put out a few weeks ago so they are out there (in another part of the world) right now. Who knows when they will be available here though. The dash/gauges/infotainment were redone as well as the exterior. I'm hoping the new Federal $5000.00 rebate applys to the PHEV versions of these vehicles.

Do you have the link of that review ? i'm curious to see it... Yes, this version looks awsome with the front grill and back bumper and!

- It does not mean that if there is a review that this particular model that it's already sold in dealers...

- The actual version of the PHEV was unveil in Europe in late 2016. So, as we are already 3 years behind in production cycle compare as europe and Korea, It would not surprise me that this "2020 facelift" model will it Canadians dealers not before 2021..

- Now, for Canadian PHEV, I do not know if any dealer has one in stock in Sask, Since all tha PHEV that are sent to Canada are all ordered, if you have to order one, prepare for a wait time of a good 3 to 6 months for a dealer delivery from Korea..

- Exemple: people in Qc, has ordered a PHEV EX Premium in last Oct. and will get it at the end of this month.

It's a great car.. I was one of the 10 first SX trim level to be delivered in November 2018, but other people are still waiting, and that sucks.! And let's not talk about the EV model..

Thanks for the info. That is a very long waiting list. Here's the link to the video. The new gauges are digital, the 8" screen is now 10.25" (?) and there is more piano black (which I dislike).

Last year in Southern California, the 2019's were being advertised, but they didn't have much presence on the dealer lots when I was shopping in October. Beth picked one up in Southern California in early 2019. Based on what I've read on this forum, it's even harder if you are shopping anywhere in Canada. Based on that, my guess is that you won't see the 2020's available locally until either later 2019 or early 2020.

Thanks for the info. Perhaps they will see an uptick in demand and produce a few more for export to Canada. Based on what I've heard so far, I won't be holding my breath.

The 2020 "facelift" model will not be in N/A before 2021... They are going to be exclusif for Europe and Asia before N/A... trust me
