I've been leasing this car since May 27th (so I have had it for 2 months now) and I had to take it in 2 weeks ago because these lights came on and then it just didn't turn on one morning. I looked up on a forum where people had similar issues with earlier models and they said it turned out to be the high voltage fuse. The Kia guy who has been assigned to keep me informed isn't do a very good job and he is not conveying to the mechanic what I think it is. I'm curious what other people think about the situation? If anyone has had this issue already? Is it what I think it is or is it something else? I have no idea what to do at this point and now I'm leasing a car I don't even get to drive.

I'd try another dealer if you have another one within a reasonable distance to you.

If you only have the one dealer near you, then you can get the service manager and/or general manager involved.

If they can't/won't help, then call Kia corporate customer service at 1 (800) 333-4542.

If corporate can't/won't help, then it's time to go nuclear (bbb, pitchforks, M80's, legal action, etc.)

They got back to me about it not being the high voltage fuse, but they still have no idea what the issue is. A specialist is flying in but won't be able to get here until August 19th. 😐 Can you take a lease to a different dealership?

Yeah, they just want you to go to a certified technician, which would be any Kia dealer and maybe some other mechanics.

I think they are dragging their feet. I hope they gave you a loaner car. Waiting until 8/16 would be unacceptable to me. When my local Kia dealer couldn't solve a problem with the service engine soon light on our Sedona they plugged the van into the phone so the people at the factory could reprogram the computer from the factory. (That was the story I got from the dealer) but the end result was the problem was solved.
