Has anyone added an aftermarket sunroof to a 23 PHEV? I want to have one done and there is a very reliable shop near me that does them. My biggest questions are related to the support beams and the electronics? Will they have to cut any beams and are there any electronic wiring in the roof that would prevent one from going in? Thanks!

My experience with aftermarket sunroofs has not been good. Even when professionally installed, they simply don't have the same support structure as a factory unit, and there's no drains. No way would I hack into a brand new car to add a sunroof. In most cases, I have rarely opened them, and often don't even open the shade due to the glare that comes in.

As to what's in the ceiling area, the '23 is a brand new model, so it's unlikely anyone has the foggiest idea what the headliner is covering. It's unlikely there's any wiring in that general area, as they usually run any wires/cables along the edges.

Actually the service manual clearly shows the cable routing in the headliner. It does go along the sides as much as possible
