Cargo Cover and other 2023 accessories?

For those who have purchased a 2023 Niro, did you also not receive any form of a cargo cover? I have my dealer looking into why none of the 15+ Niros they got were delivered with the folding fabric cover. The hooks are present so it looks like that's what they it's designed for. It's not much to speak of, but at least it hides what's in the cargo area. I also requested rubber floor mats, a cargo mat and mudflaps. I'll learn about delivery times on all those items this week hopefully.

The width of a 2023 Seltos is 62.4" and the width of a 2023 Niro is 62.8". I have purchased a 2023 retractable cargo cover for a 2023 Seltos and will see if will work in the 2023 Niro. I have seen no retractable cargo cover for the 2023 Niro yet. I'll let you know how this works once my 2023 SX with dual level cargo board arrives. I will also let you know if a donut spare can fit in the SX with dual level cargo board if the subwoofers are removed.
Yes, I'm sure many of us are curious to know especially if the retractable cargo cover works. What would you estimate its added weight to be? In some ways I realize I haven't been missing the cargo cover as much as I'd thought. It's so dark behind the tinted glass back there that's it's difficult to see whats there. However, I think from a safety standpoint it would be best to have the contents covered to keep them in place as much as possible in the case of even a small accident. Also, at this point I'm not sure I would use the dual level cargo floor because I have enjoyed the extra storage height the 2023 provides over my 2020 Niro. I'm not sure I would even use it in the higher position as I don't have many smaller items to store under it. But, I can see how some might enjoy that feature. Also, the cargo tray/mat may be sized differently but perhaps Kia will ultimately have both accessories. It seems that when the tray is in the top position that it did create some storage pockets along the sides. That's why I'm wondering whether one mat design will work for both setups.

Can you share Kia part number? I see them mentioned in the kia price sheet but nobody seems to have them for sale yet
When I'm back home later this month and pick up my cargo mat, I'll try to get the part number for the mudflaps and post it here for you.
Same here. Just got a 2023 Niro PHEV EX and no cargo cover. Watching the Carwow Youtube review of the EV version in the UK they show a cargo cover. I was actually excited about that newer thinner cargo cover vs my 2020 Niro PHEV EX Premium's cover, because you can remove it and lay it flat on the cargo floor. Not something that worked with the hefty 2020 cargo cover. However, I didn't get one, the dealer can't order one and I can't find one anywhere online. I called Kia and they have no info on it either. I hope they make these available soon. Here's where they show it in that review:
I was told by the dealer today that the only accessory that interested me that is available is the cargo tray and that is being shipped from Atlanta. So, it may be a month or two I'm told before they start to become available. Part numbers are not yet available on most items. He said this is typical when a new model is released. So, I may have to buy some cheap rubber mats somewhere to get me through the sloppy winter season.
Hi,

I had a similar experience. I bought my 2023 Niro EX Touring Hybrid on Oct 31. In November, I went back to the dealer for a few issues, and I asked the Parts dept about accessories for the 2023 model. Nothing was available at that time. He said he couldn't tell if the 2022 accessories would fit the 2023 until he had part numbers for the 2023 accessories. Now when I look, I, too, see that the cargo tray is available. I have a number of accessories I'd like, either from Kia or from after-market sources such as WeatherTech. I asked Kia Corp Customer Service about this and they said because the 2023 models were redesigned, it will take a while before parts and accessories are available. He couldn't give me a firm timeframe, but mentioned that after the 2024 models start coming out (which will be mid-2023), the 2023 accessories should be available. I certainly hope it's before then. Some accessories are just "nice to have", but I'm concerned about getting a spare tire right now, and would also like the cargo cover.

Actually, I’m more interested in the cargo tray than the mat. The mat seems to just be carpeted?
Hi,

I think there will eventually be rubber floor mats and cargo mat available, but so far, only carpeted ones seem to be available. I'll probably consider aftermarket rubber mats from WeatherTech or similar, although they are not yet available for the 2023 Niros, either.

My dealership shows the cargo tray is available (note: this info was listed for the Hybrid, not PHEV or EV, although from the descrip, they list EV):
Notes: Fixed, NON-LUGGAGE BOARD TYPE; HEV/EV
Part# ATF12 AU000
$116.00

They also show a cargo mat, but I can't tell if it is rubber or carpet.

Hope this helps.

I interchanged the words accidentally. I picked up my cargo TRAY this week. It is a softer plastic but definitely not rubbery/grippy for those that asked about that. It does have some channels in the molding of it that might keep things from shifting around a bit. I was told that the cargo MAT will be basically the same thing but with a carpet-like material lining the top side. I was curious about the weight difference between the two and they were quite sure that the mat will weigh a bit more than the tray does. I've been trying to pay attention to the weight of things and not carrying around more than I need.

The part numbers for the mudflaps are as follows:

ATF46 AKA10 : Mud guard kit - front
ATF46 AKF10 : Mud guard kit - rear

Each is a set of two and they are priced at $60 or $120 for all four.
<< The mudguards are very small but look attractive. >> Miniature, almost worthless, mud flaps seem to you can get OEM. I suspect flaps may have a significant impact on MPG for manufacturers keep em tiny.
We bought our 2023 Niro last month and didn't get any cargo cover. Our sales person searched and couldn't find anything. Right now I would like to find some sort of option that would work.

I also checked with my dealer again this past weekend and he said that there are no cargo cover options for the new Niro. He sort of doubted that there will ever be one which is surprising. Even though the back area glass is heavily tinted, you can still see the contents and I won't be comfortable leaving anything back there at hotels overnight. He did say he ordered in a two-level cargo floor accessory but I'm not interested in that any longer. I'm appreciating the deeper storage area and the the cargo tray looks nice back there as well. I will consider picking up one of the fabric cargo covers for the car the next time I'm in Europe.

No cargo cover with mine. I bought the cargo tray floor mat as an accessory and I believe I was told you could buy a cover as an accessory although it doesn't show in the brochure.

Did the 23 Seltos cover work for the 23 Niro? I just got a 23 Niro and am hoping to find something to cover the cargo area. For now, it'll be a black blanket until I find a better solution.

I spent $19 on a set of two collapsible shades (black on one side) "Standard/Medium size" that I clip together and set on top of whatever's in the back area. "Shinematix sunshades are two identical, rectangular shades measuring 28 x 31 inches or 71 x 79 cm." My Niro came with heavy tint on the back & rear door windows, and these make the contents pretty much invisible. They're very lightweight, and easy to prop up or collapse and put away. Would be nice to get a dedicated cover, tho'.

I also purchased this very same car and picked it up early November '22. I too ordered all the same options but none of them arrived with the vehicle. They could not give me a date as to when they would be available so returned the money that I had paid up front.
Still waiting......will be good to know if you get them soon.

Made a cargo cover yesterday using 2 collapsible sunshade + 2 hair ties, not perfect but I think it turned out pretty well and cost $10. "2-Piece Small Windshield Sunshade, 23.5 x 29 Inches" Most of the time was spent measuring and adjusting, see first picture for measurements I used.

Great idea! We are taking our first road trip this weekend and I want the cargo area covered. This will work. Thanks for sharing!

Hi, are you in the US? How did you order the dual level cargo board? Do you have a part number? From the videos I've seen it's not only the board, the side also has tracks for it to be positioned high or low.
