Hi guys,
With the decreased driving and increased string of my PHEV i wondered if anyone has found out how the 12v battery would stay topped up during daily driving. I think i read that the charger when will charging will divert current to both batteries as required but i started wondering, if i drive my 26 km daily route on battery alone is anything charging the 12v battery?
Currently with the lack of use I'm using the ICE more to ensure it charges the 12v battery but i started wondering if i have to?
Would the regen system divert energy?

The 12V gets charged when the Car is on running in EV mode. I have battery monitor and can confirm, when the car is turned on and running in EV mode, the 12V battery is getting 14.5V.

That's great, thanks. I seen to remember reading the onboard system had parallel charging but it wasn't in black and white to say it actually charged the battery when in use.
(Silly things you take for granted in an ice car but somehow become important when you're locker down at home)
