Do you have a Kia certified EV or PHEV mechanic nearby believe it or not Kia thinks it’s your problem to see that there is one somewhere in your area even if a dealer sells you a car they may not be certified to work on it my experience turned out that even though I live in a major metropolitan ( s florida. Miami ft Lauderdale palm beach ) area they had no certified mechanic within 500 miles and they felt it was my problem for not knowing this the repair that actually got done took one hour for mechanic it took over three weeks for Kia to ship the car to Georgia and more than three weeks to get it back and they felt that they were doing me a favor repairing the car under warranty Truly a bad attitude on their part the dealers are wonderful corporate is horrible they think that service? I was without my car for two months it was returned today the dealer that it was returned to had to call me and tell me that the interior is covered in grease on my seat and they have to bring in a leather specialist to clean it yes I own 4 mo. Sorry now 6 mo.old Niro phev top of the line loaded 40k car But the way I was treated you would think I bought a $ 15k stripped car not a cutting edge this our future Halo car
Beware before you buy a phev or ev make sure there’s somebody around that can work on it Can only imagine what it’s like if you don’t even live in a major metropolitan area the nearest tech might be California
