Front-end Paint Protection

Although somewhat expensive I am considering getting professional installation of 3M Scotchgard paint protection film for my NIRO front bumper, hood, mirros and front panels. Just looking for any feedback from anyone who has, or is considering having it done. What is the consensus, alternative and any opinions. Cost estimate is $700.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Options are not doing it, and saving the money for a fender bender. No fender bender, you are dollars ahead!

I am considering this also. My daily driver, now my winter beater, has paint chips covering the hood, fenders and front end. I don't want the Niro to look like this EVER. I have been looking at a kit from Xpel and doing it myself. I did use Xpel headlight protection kit after hitting a bear and got two new headlights. Hood was not damaged in the bear attack. Not too bad to install yourself.

This is my second Kia and both have had this treatment. I feel it is worth it as I have also had a car with chips all over the front end. Sort of have to weigh how much you drive and where you drive. If it is just around town, might not be worth it. I put on 20k a year so for me it is worth the cost IMO. Also something to think about is how long you will hang onto it. I don’t know if it helps in regard to resale but if you keep your vehicle long term you will certainly get your money’s worth out of it.
