The latest years Toyota Hybrids have a hybrid battery fan filter that needs to be cleaned/changed periodically. I was wondering if the Kia Niro has this filter and where is it located? How to access it?

There are two fans assisting battery air circulation on the PHEV (one on the HEV). It is the Leaf that has passive cooling and poor battery life.

I had a 2014 Prius the vent would always get clogged up with dust bunnies. As far as the Niro, I haven’t noticed any dust build up. I took pictures on where they are.
This one is on back cargo area this one is on the rear bottom left side.

Perhaps the fresh air filter of the Niro is better than the Prius (if it even has one). Also, the Niro may be more airtight than the Prius. There are valves to let air out when shutting doors - that is how tight it is.
