Hi all, I have a 2017 Kia NIro EX Advanced Technology Package, after having been in 3 accidents in the past calendar year I invested in a Rexing Front and Rear Dash Cam (the V1P Pro). I also got the kit for it to get power from the fuse box directly.

My question is, in my interior cabin fuse panel, which lead turns hot when the car turns on, is it the top or bottom of the fuse? As I want to make sure my fuse is installed in the proper direction. Also for anyone who has installed a Dash Cam before, do we have a nice open fuse someone to plug into without sacrificing a feature?

Thank you all for your time.

Check out my post about installing a Dashcam. I used an unused fuse position that powers on when the car is turned on. It’s in position 3 across and 2 down. I also have comments on the position of the fuse in the fuse tap, so that might answer your “top or bottom of the fuse” question. Good luck.

Installed Dashcam hardwire kit today
