Compact SUV height and seat. Upright seating position. You don't have to climb into it like a large SUV, nor drop into it like a car. The seat is also height adjustable even on the base model. Visibility won't be as good as a Forrester with the large windows. But better than some similar models.

I drove an XC60 rental once for a thousand miles and as I recall, it was a step up to get in. That wasn't fun as I had half a dozen broken ribs from a roll over at 75 mph. But way better than the Camaro they initially gave me, now that was painful to get in!

My experience as a front passenger in a CRV is that you have to climb up. As a BTW, you do know you can raise the front seats in the Niro?
