Kia plans to debut a new and unnamed concept car at this year's Consumer Electronics Show. They may not have announced the exact model, but from the teaser images released ahead of the show, we can make a pretty good guess as to the model’s identity. They certainly didn’t try to hide the brightly lit "Niro EV" letters on its rear.
First Kia fans were treated to a Niro hybrid and then the line expanded to include a plug-in hybrid version. Soon a full electric variant will be joining the lineup to round out the model, similar to what you’d find with the Hyundai Ioniq.
It’s specs sucha as range and power remains hidden, but we can at least make out a few exterior changes from looking the teaser photos. According to AutoBlog, the headlights received a slight update and they’re now more swept back with LED accents at the bottom. Similarly, the taillights have this LED streak design as well.
Also, the traditional fog lights have been replaced by Y-shaped lighting and the grille has tiny speckles of lights. Perhaps hinting towards Kia’s "motion graphic" lighting technology or it could have just been added for aesthetic purposes.
More information should be released at the concept vehicle’s debut on January 8th, 2018.
