Many thanks for the heads up. I went through the whole process again today, on a different computer (just to double-check), and the updater again displayed: "Updates Temporarily Unavailable."

By the way, a Kia "service rep" just told me over the telephone at +1-800-333-4KIA that the files are no longer available for free and gave me a different web address to go and purchase. Incredible: he got zero credibility from me. I'll make a separate post about that.

This happened with the European update for November. The original updates for Nov 11th were pulled due to various bugs. The new updates appeared on Nov 22nd - I would assume this is the case in the US and they will re-appear soon.

I installed the new version a week or so ago and am having issues. The map blacks out completely and reloads about every mile or so. It's really annoying. Do not update until they provide fixes. I can't go back to the old version either.

UPDATE: FIXED.

I kept checking every few days. Last night the Navigation Updater proceeded to the download, as opposed to displaying the "Unavailable" screen as it had previously done.

According to the installer, maps, modem and a few other things got updated. The software version went from

DEPEHEV.USA.55W_M.V006.001.210524

to

DEPEHEV.USA.55W_M.V007.001.211127

Kia's poor communication (or rather, complete lack of communication) and general gaslighting (now there is an update, now there isn't, now there is) reflects extremely poorly on the management of the brand.
