We just got our Niro EX four weeks ago and are really enjoying it. I don't know why but I love the illuminated handles, and the side mirrors when they tuck in like saying good bye, see you later.

We've been switching to the hybrid screen on the main 7" screen to see the power flow to happily see the average fuel economy get better and better. I wish there was a setting to make that the default screen. At least we added the hybrid screen to the main pane at the bottom so now it is just a click away.

We drive gently, keep it in the standard Eco mode, sporadically switch to Sport mode to quickly merge in roundabouts, and have been learning how to gently break just enough to increase the regeneration and charge the battery faster but not use the friction brake pads.

So far our average is 4.0 L/100km (58.8 MPG).

We think this is amazing, and are very happy with the car.

2017 LX with no options. Overall average for my 12000 miles is 39.6 mpg using real calculations. :(

Mostly 75+ mph highway miles in colder weather. (I only get about 5 to 10% of my miles in town.)

YMMV
