I've put Thule Aero bars on my Niro Touring. I used 60" long bars....had to cut 3" slots in each to get them to fit. I used the foot pack from a Sportage....Thule wouldn't sell me something they hadn't tested on the Niro. The rear rack is 1/2" lower than the front so I used shims to bring my 14' board closer to level.Hey all!
Has anyone purchased roof rails for the Niro yet? If so can you post a link and tells us about it?
Could you post photos of the factory bars? Cant find them anywhere. Apparently there should also be 2 different kinds. Looking for some low ones.I have factory bars and they hold my kayak just fine.
I've just purchased a 2018 LX that includes "solid roof bars". I've asked 2 dealers about roof rack options without getting any particularly useful information. I'm considering purchasing these : https://www.micksgarage.com/d/roof-...ium-aero-roof-bars-for-kia-niro-2016-onwards- . The Kia racks are about double the price. However, I'm surprised that Kia only provides the "solid" roof bar option. This of course makes it impossible to feed a rope underneath the roof bars. I'd also appreciate hearing about other opinions/options. I intend to attach surfboard racks as well carry all sorts of other stuff (2x4 lumber. 4x8 drywall sheets etc).
