I tried to do a system software update yesterday and ran into trouble. Everything was going fine until the end of the system update. At that point, I lost battery power and the update was corrupted. When I start the car now, the 10" screen has garbage on it at first, then says it is preparing to update. That notice stays onscreen for a short time, disappears, then reappears over and over. Nothing further happens. Is there a way to force the update to reinstall or am I stuck taking it back to the dealer?

What if you press the reset-button near the volume button?

The reset button usually has two functions. One is a soft reset, which is just pressing and releasing it. A hard reset usually requires holding the button anywhere from 10-30 seconds, and takes it down to factory default. If that won't do it, then it's likely bricked and a dealer might be able to reload the software with their special tools.
