i'd like to ask if anyone has found a way to put a spare fob ( for pushbutton start) somewhere on the car where it wont be in proximity to open the trunk- or doors. I mounted the spare fob in front under bumper when I first bought car, until I realized trunk could be opened without the fob, because of proximity. Has anyone figured out a way to mount a spare fob safely?

I've wrapped mine in aluminum foil and hid it in the carpet under drivers seat. No one will ever find it. The physical key I've taped to the exterior of the car.

I have been just going to take the key from the fob and hide it on the car. Because I normally have the extra fob in the car which I could accidentally lock in there. I have keys hidden on all my cars and bike

I pried the second fob apart and slipped a piece of paper between the battery and the contacts so it isn't live. Then I used velcro tape to stick it somewhere out of the way inside. It can still start the car by touching the fob to the start button.
