Besides the color scheme, it looks nothing like an iPhone. Would like to see the white color extend to include a larger portion of the door instead of that small corner but it could look better in person.

Good marketing scheme too, aiming at the tech savy younger gen who loves their iPhones. I really don't car either way.

That's true, I think it would look better with a bigger white color coverage on the door panel. The added silver is like the finishing touch to it, looks okay.

I'm still not too big on it. The white that's shown looks a bit like a plastic white, giving off a cheaper look (i think).

That piece of gimmicky plastic just makes it look cheap. I don't want to feel the hard plastic of an iphone when I'm resting my hand there or when I'm trying to hit a button. And the coverage is minimal on that door. If they're going to emulate the iphone on a door panel, it better cover more of it so the white panel doesn't look like an afterthought.

I hope that thing is optional because it's ugly.

Yeah that's what we're saying too, either cover more of the door panel with it or don't add it. Too plastic for me.

Here's more shots of the plastic look lol..:

It really stands out and looks terrible...

They should keep it plain like this:

One thing to consider is this just being Kia setting the bar low so come time for a higher trim to come to market they have that much more to include, since we all know them being the best brand when it comes to value, moving these Niro's as we currently know them won't be an issue at all.

A simple color scheme on that interior will do it a lot of good. An example? See this Veloster, but it's a Veloster, Niro will get different treatment:

would be great if they came with an option to change it to black so it blends in more. Just not a fan of random white plastic chunks on my doors, center console and steering wheel.
Okay, maybe not too bad with the steering wheel but the other areas...

Last I heard of Kia coming out with a special edition was for the Soul and it was called the Red Zone edition. actually pretty nice with red accents on the inside.

If you really want it to be different there are ways you can change it, the most popular one today being vinyl wrap.

It just take someone just a bit mechanically inclined, even those that are doing anything to their car for the first time should be able to do this, i've done much harder jobs.

Here's a little DIY to give you a sense what you're up against:
