Just bought a new 2025 KIA Niro EX. I traded in my 2016 KIA Forte with 504,058 miles on it. It was still in good shape!
Looking forward to a lot of gas savings with the Niro because I Uber around 250 miles a day in my area.

We just bought a 2025 KIA Niro (our second Niro, the first was a 2017). I'm thinking of adding a dashcam but would like to know if there is a way that the existing rearview camera for driving in reverse can be integrated into a forward looking dashcam so that it would record from both the new forsard looking dascam and also from the existing review camera over the license plate?

I have not heard of any dashcam being able to use a factory backup camera for that purpose. Don't forget that the backup camera is designed to only view the area immediately behind the car and has a downward view. A rear facing camera that wants to record the entire area behind the car will be aimed higher and have a longer point of view. It would likely do a better job at night, since the factory backup camera is expecting the reverse lights to be on, while a dashcam would be better under low light conditions.
