I wonder if the recall affects Canadian Niro's as well.

 

The NHTSA revealed that the floor wiring assembly beneath the front passenger seat may be at risk of damage. This defect could interfere with the proper deployment of front airbags and seat belts, potentially increasing the risk of serious injury during a crash.

I guess they haven't figured out yet which vehicles from gen.2 Niros this recall applies to. Can't imagine it's every Niro from 23-25.

I searched the NHTSA site by VIN, and my 2023 HEV SX isn't listed, but that doesn't mean it may not be as things develop. I plan to search again in a month.

 

Right now the recall is US only, but I expect the Canadian one soon. It does say they think only 1% affected.

 

This has already been posted, so let's keep the comments on the same thread. I've updated the title of that thread to reflect it covers all three versions of 23-25 Niro. I'll close this thread now.
